Description
The 947 retroreflex series are industrial controls performing detection by using an ultrasonic beam. They are the solution whenever photoelectric sensors cannot be used: dusty environments, sunlight, rain, impossibility to place a reflector, dark rooms, frost, etc. Their small size and high sealing allow to place them virtually anywhere.

The 947 retroreflex series work by detecting a fixed target permanently (test target): this can be any surface with correct ultrasonic reflexion capability: wall, post, ground, ceiling... Any target blocking the ultrasonic beam triggers the sensor, even things formerly impossible to detect with Ultrasonic technology are reliably detected! For example, people, cars, soft or foamy objects, fabric, etc, are detected even in the dead zone!

947 retroreflex series are available with PNP open collector output, potentiometer adjustment, M18 or M30 plastic housing with 2m cable. Three models are available, depending on the range for placing the test target.

  • Synchronising/hold input: To avoid mutual interference from several sensors, they are very simply synchronised by connecting their synchronising/hold input (pin 4) together. If the measure needs to be stopped, connect the synchronising/hold input to the ground, the output stays stable.
